Salary Range: $18.00 To $20.00 Hourly

PROCESSING ATTENDANT I

Starting pay: $18/ hour

What better way to see how eggs are packed and shipped than to be part of that process! Our eggs are packed and shipped daily to stores throughout New York State and beyond. The Egg Packer is an important part of this process which helps get these fresh, delicious, quality eggs packaged and sent to their destination and to our customers!

The Egg Packer is responsible for the following:

∙ Pack eggs into cases (boxes) or onto racks.

∙ Assist with the machine and plant clean-up during and after the end of each shift.

∙ Learn and understand other stations such as candling the eggs, supplying cartons, and flats to the machine, and helping with daters and packer management.

∙ Perform safety checks on all machinery.

Requirements:

  • Very good observation skills

  • Ability to perform a repetitive motion with arms/hands

  • Ability to work in a close teamwork environment

  • Maintains a positive, can-do attitude

  • Ability to maintain a fast pace while handling a fragile product

  • Being bilingual, Spanish/ English, is a plus, but not required

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred
