Full job description

Waymo is an autonomous driving technology company with the mission to be the world's most trusted driver. Since its start as the Google Self-Driving Car Project in 2009, Waymo has focused on building the Waymo Driver—The World's Most Experienced Driver™—to improve access to mobility while saving thousands of lives now lost to traffic crashes. The Waymo Driver powers Waymo’s fully autonomous ride-hail service and can also be applied to a range of vehicle platforms and product use cases. The Waymo Driver has provided over ten million rider-only trips, enabled by its experience autonomously driving over 100 million miles on public roads and tens of billions in simulation across 15+ U.S. states.

Waymo's Systems Engineering team works together to blend software and hardware systems in groundbreaking new ways. We set the high performance standards that ensure our vehicles run smoothly and keep passengers safe, then design and perform the tests that validate that performance. • Maintain test health: Drive increased automation in detection and resolution of test health issues identified in our vast scenario test database to keep quality / test uptime high
  • Create the playbook: Develop the playbook for making maintenance adjustments at scale by leveraging tooling automation strategically while also partnering w/ SMEs to develop standards and guidelines that enable our vendor workforce to drive efficient resolution

You have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or other relevant technical field
  • 8+ years of experience in Test Engineering, QA Engineering, Software Development in Test, Site Reliability Engineering, Technical Operations or other equivalent experience
