Special Education Teacher / Intervention Specialist

Location: Huber Heights, OH (Onsite)

Pay: $50.00/hour

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8:00 AM-4:00 PM

Hours: 35 hours per week

Contract Length: 36 Weeks

Additional Highlights

• Professional Development begins September 1

• Candidates must be eligible to accept employment and not be under an active teaching contract that prevents transfer

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to students with disabilities

• Develop and implement individualized educational programming

• Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff

• Participate in student program planning and implementation

• Provide instructional support, intervention, and accommodations

• Monitor student progress and maintain required documentation

• Support student success in academic, behavioral, and functional skill development

Required Qualifications

• Valid state teaching certification meeting district and state requirements

• Appropriate Special Education/Intervention Specialist licensure for assignment

• Must meet all federal, state, and local employment requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age

• Current CPR certification, if required

• TB screening, PPD, or chest x-ray, if required

• Current health certificate, if required by state or district regulations

• Full certification required for consideration

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university

• Minimum one year of teaching experience

• Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education Teaching Certification

• Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement
