The Clinical Service Specialist supports patient access and clinic operations through scheduling, registration, insurance verification, patient communication, and coordination of outpatient services. This role also provides non-licensed patient care support and assists with maintaining a safe, efficient, and patient-focused environment.

Work Schedule: Monday to Thursday 2pm to 7pm, Friday 1pm to 5pm

Location: 424 Cloverleaf Road, Building F, Elizabeth, PA 17022

Key Responsibilities

  • Schedule appointments, register patients, and verify insurance coverage.

  • Manage inbound and outbound patient communications.

  • Collect patient payments and discuss financial responsibilities.

  • Process referrals, authorizations, and electronic medical record documentation.

  • Coordinate care and support scheduling for routine and complex patient needs.

  • Complete registration and scheduling work queues within established standards.

  • Greet, escort, and prepare patients for provider visits.

  • Assist providers with procedures and clinical support activities within scope of practice.

  • Maintain supplies, equipment, and clinic cleanliness.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned, including supporting other regional locations when needed.

Qualifications

Required:

  • High School Diploma or GED.

  • Minimum one year of experience in a medical office, healthcare, insurance, or business setting.

  • One year of clerical, customer service, or administrative experience.

  • Basic computer and data entry skills.

Preferred:

  • Experience with Epic or another Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.

  • Experience with patient registration, insurance verification, referrals, authorizations, and point-of-service collections.
