COMPENSATION INFORMATION:

The pay range provided is not indicative of Sysco’s actual pay range but is merely algorithmic and provided for generalized comparison. Factors that may be used to determine rate of pay include specific skills, work location, work experience and other individualized factors

Position Purpose:

The purpose of the Inventory Specialist role is to perform cycle counts, adjustments, locate missing products, keep various reports up to date and gather info for other departments as needed in order to maintain the accuracy of Sysco IFG inventory.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Cycle counts pick slots and reserves in the building
  • Researches discrepancies with counts and daily warehouse outs, places products on hold requiring review by upper management, handles stock transfers relative to country item codes and reviews daily adjustments with Inventory Manager to ensure accuracy
  • Slots new products including TI/Hi and weight considerations, creates rack types in SWMS, plans / executes order selection paths and corrects product placement within the facility to match the warehouse management system
  • Handles both actual and mock product recalls / liaises with various auditors
  • Assists labeling department with date and code deciphering and correction
  • Assists in operations as needed

Education:

  • HSD or equivalent

Experience:

  • 4 years warehouse/distribution experience * inventory experience is a plus * RF system experience a plus *

Skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills *good organization skills *ability to lift 40-50.lb regularly * basic computer skills including Excel and Outlook *able to operate a forklift * basic math skills
