Job Description:

Recreational therapists, under the direction of an Occupational Therapist, are assigned to evaluate and treat patients to achieve maximum level of leisure independence. Patients seen have a variety of limitations and the therapists use their skills to assist patients to their full rehabilitation potential.

Education:

  • Bachelor of Arts Recreational Therapy And/Or

Certifications/Licensures:

  • NCTRC - National Council for Therapeutic Recreation Certification or

  • CBRPC - California Board of Recreation and Park Required

  • BLS - Basic Life Support - Certification Required

This position is funded for a period of up to two years from the incumbent’s date of hire and is eligible for benefits.

Work shift: 8:00 - 4:30pm

Days worked per week: Sunday/Monday/Wednesday/Thursday

Hours worked per day: 8

Work Shift:

08.0 - 08:00 - 16:30 No Waive (United States of America)

Pay Range:

$36.23 - $48.90

Hourly

Offer amounts are based on demonstrated/relevant experience and/or licensure.

Pay will be adjusted to the local market if hired outside of the Bay Area.

Note: Positions at JMH which are exempt (not eligible for overtime) under the level of Manager are listed as hourly for compensation purposes on this posting. The work shift will contain the word ‘exempt’ on it.
