Job Summary

  • The Wellstar Diagnostic Float Team (WEST Team) supports a variety of imaging services across our facilities. Region One includes Kennestone Hospital, North Fulton Hospital, and Windy Hill.
  • As an MRI Technologist for Region One, you will apply your expertise to deliver safe, high-quality imaging and a supportive patient experience at each location you serve.

Pay

  • In return for stepping in where you’re needed most, Float Pool members earn a higher base rate and may be eligible for a float incentive.

Schedule & Incentives

Required Qualifications

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology program

Experience

  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist in a hospital setting

Certifications

  • ARRT-R (Radiography)
  • ARRT-MR (Magnetic Resonance Imaging)
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) – American Heart Association

Core Responsibilities

  • Perform MRI exams and produce diagnostic-quality images per established protocols.
  • Verify orders, collect relevant clinical history, complete MRI safety screening, and assess contraindications.
  • Confirm patient identity per policy; ensure accurate documentation, labeling, and required markers.
  • Prepare patients for exams; explain procedures using AIDET and maintain privacy, comfort, and dignity.
  • Apply MRI safety practices at all times (magnet safety, access control, hearing protection, safety devices).
