Job Description
Job Title: Traffic Coordinator
DESCRIPTION:
A Traffic Coordinator is a professional who manages the flow of materials and information within a company. They work with a variety of departments, including service, install, and sales, to ensure that projects are completed on time and within budget. They are essential members of any team that relies on the timely delivery of materials or resources.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

Planning and scheduling: Traffic coordinators are responsible for developing and maintaining project schedules. They work with different departments to identify deadlines and milestones, and then they create a plan to ensure that all tasks are completed on time.

Tracking and reporting: Traffic coordinators track the progress of projects and report on their status to necessary personnel. They use project management software to keep track of tasks, deadlines, and costs.

Communicating with customers and departments: Traffic coordinators are responsible for communicating with customers and departments throughout the project lifecycle. They keep departments and customers informed of the project’s progress and address any concerns or questions that arise.

Solving problems: Traffic coordinators are often called upon to solve problems that come up during the course of a project. They use their problem-solving skills to identify and implement solutions that will keep the project on track.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 2 years experience in traffic or customer service

HS graduate
WORKING CONDITIONS:
Job operates mainly indoors but exposed to generally consistent conditions, such as regulated air conditioning and heating. This job also works near a machinery showroom, which may generate some noises such as objects hitting the floor and creating a sound, forklift movement and occasional other short term noises.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This job requires very frequent bending at the waist, twisting of the upper body, standing, speaking and hearing and frequent kneeling. Repetitive use of the hands, squeezing, keyboarding and crouching. Requires frequent lifting and carrying of 1-10 pounds, recurrent lifting of 11-20 pounds and occasional lifting and carrying of 21-50 or more pounds. Also requires constant pushing and pulling of 1-50 pounds and infrequent pushing and pulling of over 50 pounds with the aid of handcarts or other wheeled devices. Good visual and color acuity are required to perform this type of job.
