ROLE SUMMARY
The Dispatch Coordinator is responsible for the planning, execution, and integrity of daily and weekly service routes across assigned branches. This role directly supports CPI’s service delivery by ensuring technicians are efficiently routed, service level commitments are met, and preventive maintenance and inspection work is executed accurately and on time. Dispatch Coordinators operate in a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment and are expected to take ownership of routing outcomes, apply scheduling rules consistently, and make sound operational decisions within defined guidelines. Training is provided on CPI systems, tools, and service models. his position is REMOTE but must be in the CENTRAL TIME ZONE. The hour's for this position is Monday thru Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST. Every 3 weeks the Dispatch Operations Agent will need to work a Saturday or Sunday and have another day off during the week.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Own route construction of technician routes for assigned branches

Balance reactive service work and scheduled preventive maintenance

Apply service level prioritization rules when assigning work for national and regional accounts

Monitor and adjust routes to maintain efficiency and workload balance

Partner with Service Managers, Dispatch Leadership, and cross‑functional teams to resolve escalations

Maintain clear documentation and end‑of‑shift handoff communication

Technicians begin each workday with complete and accurate routes

Service level commitments are met with minimal disruption

Workloads are balanced to avoid backlogs and last‑minute escalations

Routing decisions are well‑documented and clearly communicated

Dispatch operations run smoothly across weekdays and weekends
Qualifications and Requirements
-
High School diploma or equivalent required
-
2–4 years of experience in dispatch, routing, scheduling, or field service operations
-
Experience working in a high‑volume or time‑sensitive operational environment

Strong organizational and time‑management skills
-
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and comfort working with scheduling tools and data

Ability to learn and apply operational rules and service models
