Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a Contract Hybrid Robot Programmer for a leading industrial automation and equipment manufacturing client. This candidate will play a key role in a large-scale robotics deployment involving ABB robotic systems, Siemens PLCs, and advanced manufacturing automation technologies for their top automotive manufacturing client. The ideal individual will support programming and equipment development efforts prior to installation, then assist with startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimization activities at manufacturing facilities. This is a high-impact opportunity for an experienced robotics professional who enjoys working in fast-paced automotive environments and contributing to cutting-edge automation projects with strong potential for contract extension or conversion. Below are additional job responsibilities:
Program and configure ABB robotic systems for automotive manufacturing applications
Integrate robotic systems with Siemens PLC controls
Support a large-scale cobot and robotics deployment project
Perform offline/remote programming prior to equipment installation
Commission, troubleshoot, and optimize robotic systems during startup activities
Collaborate with controls engineers and automation teams throughout deployment
Support equipment through development, installation, and production launch
Travel to support installation, startup, and deployment activities

Skills and Requirements
3+ years of industrial robotics programming experience
Current hands-on experience with ABB robot control platforms and programming them in manufacturing environments
Siemens PLC experience, specifically Siemens TIA Portal
Experience supporting equipment commissioning and startup
Ability to independently create, modify, and troubleshoot robotic code
Willingness to travel and support installation activities Automotive manufacturing experience
Large-scale automation, robotics, or cobot deployment experience
Previous production launch support experience
