Full job description

Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in precision machining, is seeking a dedicated CNC Machine Operator to join their team. As a CNC Machine Operator, you will be an integral part of the manufacturing department supporting production operations. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: CNC Machine Operator

Location: Alexandria, MN

Pay Range: $20+/hour

Shift: M-TH 6am-4:30pm OR M-F 7am-5:30pm

What's the Job?

  • Operate computer numerically controlled horizontal lathes, mills, or turning centers to perform machining operations such as turning, boring, facing, and threading.

  • Read and interpret process sheets, blueprints, and sketches to determine operating requirements.

  • Mount workpieces securely and start machining operations, ensuring precision and safety.

  • Perform in-process inspections and spot checks to verify conformance to specifications.

  • Deburr finished products, tag nonconforming materials, and move products to designated areas.

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or GED, or related on-the-job training or experience.

  • At least 1 year of experience in a factory or manufacturing.

  • Ability to read blueprints and interpret technical instructions.

  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.

  • Ability to follow simple instructions and apply common sense to carry out tasks.

  • Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift up to 50 pounds, and perform repetitive movements.
