Description

Facility Maintenance Technician with Custodial Duties to help maintain a safe, clean, and fully operational environment. This position combines hands-on maintenance responsibilities with routine cleaning tasks to support the overall function and appearance of our facility.

Responsibilities

Maintenance & Repairs

  • Inspect facility to identify repair and maintenance needs

  • Perform routine preventive maintenance (filters, belts, lubrication, etc.)

  • Troubleshoot and assist with repairs on HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems

  • Complete basic carpentry tasks including drywall repair, painting, flooring, and door/window hardware

  • Maintain and repair building systems and equipment (motors, pumps, fans, etc.)

  • Keep accurate maintenance logs and maintain inventory of tools and parts

Custodial Duties

  • Perform daily cleaning tasks (sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, dusting)

  • Sanitize restrooms, common areas, and high-touch surfaces

  • Empty trash and recycling bins

  • Clean windows, mirrors, and glass surfaces

  • Restock restroom supplies

  • Respond quickly to spills or safety hazards

  • Operate cleaning equipment such as floor buffers and power washers

General & Grounds Support

  • Assist with exterior upkeep including walkways and landscaping

  • Remove trash and maintain building appearance

  • Support team members with maintenance and cleaning projects

Safety & Compliance

  • Follow all safety guidelines and OSHA standards

  • Properly use personal protective equipment (PPE)

  • Handle cleaning chemicals and equipment safely

Qualifications

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED preferred

  • Experience in maintenance, custodial work, or carpentry preferred

  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, or electrical systems is a plus

  • Familiarity with hand and power tools

  • Ability to perform physically demanding tasks in various conditions

  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail

  • Valid driver's license preferred
