Up to $10,000 SIGN ON BONUS
Hours: Monday- Friday 8am-4:30pm
SUMMARY
Work in collaboration with other RT staff to ensure the efficient daily operation of the Respiratory Therapy Department. Emphasis will be placed upon quality patient care provided by a cohesive team effort. The position is expected to assess patients’ respiratory care needs, evaluate effectiveness of care provided, and integrate nursing theory into clinical practice. The position must be able to provide treatment as prescribed by a provider, evaluate safe patient care and continue to analyze ongoing assessment data to determine safe patient outcomes.

DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES (include but are not limited to the following)

Collaboratively coordinates the continuum of care across the multi-disciplinary team settings.

Effectively apply technical knowledge to problem solve and act as a resource person for other staff members
Qualifications
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

Current licensure to practice as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in the State of Iowa.

BCLS or ability to obtain certification within 6 months of hire.

ACLS preferred

Competent in the theory and application in the care of the principles of the patient presenting for respiratory therapy care including but not limited to inpatient and outpatient, sleep studies and EEGs.

Competent in the use of complex equipment found in the respiratory care department area to include but not limited to; ventilator, CPAP, Bipap, Suction, PFT machine, Sleep study equipment and EEG machine.
