Special Education Teacher (School-Based) | Longview, WA - Recruiter Snapshot

Position: Special Education Teacher

Location: Longview, Washington

Start Date: August 26, 2026

Contract Length: 36 Weeks

Schedule: 37.5 Hours/Week

Grade Level: Middle School

Setting: Classroom-Based

Behavioral Support: Medium

Medical Support: Level 4

Interview: Required (In-person preferred; Zoom available)

Required Qualifications

Must Have:

  • Active Washington State Teaching License

  • Special Education Teaching Endorsement

  • Minimum age of 18

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements

Preferred:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 1+ year of teaching experience

  • Special Education teaching experience

  • Learning Behavior Specialist (LBS1) endorsement

  • Standard Elementary, Secondary, or Special Education teaching certification

Compensation

Local Options:

  • $50/hr (36 weeks, 37.5 hours/week)

Travel Option:

  • Estimated weekly package: $2,193
