What You'll Do

As the Production Supervisor, you'll lead the day-to-day operations of your production area while ensuring safety, quality, productivity, and employee engagement remain top priorities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop hourly production employees.

  • Ensure production schedules and daily performance goals are achieved.

  • Monitor labor utilization, production yields, efficiencies, and operational performance.

  • Identify production challenges and implement solutions to improve productivity while reducing downtime.

  • Conduct routine production floor walks to monitor employee performance, safety, and quality standards.

  • Foster a positive, respectful, and accountable team culture.

  • Train new employees and provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback.

  • Partner with Maintenance, Quality, and Operations teams to resolve production issues quickly.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives focused on reducing waste, increasing efficiency, and improving overall plant performance.

  • Coordinate equipment readiness and communicate maintenance needs to minimize production interruptions.

  • Maintain accurate production reports and communicate shift performance to leadership.

Safety & Quality

Safety and food quality are critical to our success.

You'll help ensure compliance with:

  • USDA regulations

  • HACCP programs

  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures

  • Company safety policies and operational standards

You'll also participate in safety observations, audits, and continuous improvement efforts to help create a safe and productive workplace.

What We're Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Manufacturing, Operations, or a related field OR equivalent manufacturing leadership experience.

  • Minimum of 2 years of supervisory, lead, or production leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Experience training, coaching, and developing employees.

  • Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to analyze production data and make sound operational decisions.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

  • Willingness to work overtime or weekends as business needs require.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience in the following areas is highly desirable:

  • Food manufacturing

  • USDA or HACCP-regulated environments

  • Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement

  • Production scheduling and workforce planning

  • Yield improvement and waste reduction

  • Employee engagement and performance management

Experience with SAP, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, inventory systems, or production reporting software is a plus.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are encouraged to apply.

Work Environment

This position is based in a manufacturing facility and may include:

  • Hot and cold production environments

  • Wet or humid conditions

  • Exposure to moving machinery

  • Moderate to loud noise levels

Candidates should be comfortable standing and walking for extended periods, bending, reaching, and occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds.
