What does an Instrumentation & Communications Technician 3/C do?
Under direct supervision, the duties include:
-
Testing, adjusting, repairing, and maintaining the radio, telemetric, fiber optic, microwave, SCADA, supervisory and electronic control equipment (except where an F.C.C. Operator’s license is required) connected therewith in any of the Company’s substations, Gas gate and distribution stations, offices, properties and rights-of-way and Production facilities

Assist a I&C Technician of a higher grade in the performance of such employee’s duties and to perform other related work as assigned
What does it take to be an Instrumentation & Communications Technician 3/C?
Required:
-
Associates of Applied Science Degree (AAS Technical/Science) or higher in Electrical Engineering Technologies. In lieu of a degree, 30 credits of relevant advanced education in the field of Electrical Engineering Technologies from an accredited College or University or accredited certificate program will be considered. Relevant course work includes AC Circuit Theory, DC Circuit Theory, Electronics, Electric Power Systems, Automation, Electromechanical Devices, Digital Electronics, Technical Drawing or Telecommunications. In lieu of an AAS Degree or applicable course work, a HS Diploma/GED and 3.5 years of relevant work experience, or technical Military training, in a related field will be considered

Must demonstrate good mechanical aptitude and ability to absorb technical and electronic theory

Evidence of physical fitness shall be required and at the Company’s option must be demonstrated by medical examination by a doctor selected by the Company

Valid driver’s license
