Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality nursing care while supporting a variety of primary care and specialty clinics throughout the Sioux City Metro.

  • Room patients, obtain health histories, collect vital signs, and accurately document patient information in the electronic health record (EPIC).

  • Assist providers with patient examinations, in-office procedures, and treatments.

  • Administer medications, immunizations, injections, and other treatments within the RN scope of practice.

  • Provide patient education on diagnoses, medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and follow-up instructions.

  • Coordinate referrals, diagnostic testing, prior authorizations, and continuity of care.

  • Collaborate with providers and care teams to ensure efficient clinic operations and an exceptional patient experience.

  • Adapt quickly to different clinic workflows while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and professionalism.

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe clinical environment in accordance with organizational policies and infection prevention standards.

Qualifications

  • Active, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Iowa or a compact RN license recognized by the state of practice. Must be licensed and eigible to practice in Nebraska and Iowa.

  • Previous outpatient, ambulatory, clinic, or physician practice experience preferred.

  • Strong communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills with the ability to adapt to different clinical environments.

  • Experience with EPIC electronic health record preferred.

  • Willingness and ability to travel between primary care and specialty clinic locations throughout the Sioux City Metro based on staffing needs.
