Status: Full Time

Schedule: 4 10-hour shifts or 3 12-hour shifts - 2-3 call shifts per month including 1 24-hour weekend call shift

What You'll Do

Assisting with patient positioning and surgical site preparation

Controlling bleeding through suctioning, clamping, and cauterization

Handling and manipulating tissues during surgery

Holding retractors and maintaining clear visualization of the surgical field
-
Applying dressings and supporting postoperative care in the OR

Maintaining sterile technique and supporting infection prevention protocols
What We're Looking For

Education: High School Diploma or GED, required.

Graduate of an accredited School of Surgical Technology program or Military Training Equivalent (68D – Operating Room Specialist). For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification please see additional skills required.

Experience: Previous Surgical Technologist experience, preferred.

Licensure/certification/registration: Current Surgical Tech Certification (CST, TS-C, NRCST, or SA-C), preferred.

Additional skills required: For incumbents who are not graduates of an accredited School of Surgical Technology or have certification the following additional requirements apply: new graduates must obtain certification within 12months of hire. Ability to successfully complete generic and department-specific skill validation and competency testing. Demonstrate effective and appropriate customer service skills, verbal and nonverbal communication techniques, interpersonal relationship skills, and time management skills
