The Clinical Data Specialist at Iterative Health plays a critical role in supporting clinical trial operations across the Iterative Health research network. This position is responsible for conducting detailed EHR reviews to identify potential clinical trial candidates, supporting patient recruitment efforts, maintaining research databases, and ensuring accurate documentation throughout the patient pre-screening process.

Where You’ll Drive Impact

Clinical Trial Patient Identification & Screening

  • Review electronic health records (EHRs) to identify patients who may qualify for active clinical research studies.

  • Interpret study protocols and eligibility criteria to determine appropriate patient populations for recruitment.

  • Build and maintain databases of potential study participants across multiple research programs.

  • Document patient pre-screening activities and findings in accordance with established procedures and regulatory requirements.

  • Collaborate with research sites and clinical teams to support participant recruitment initiatives. Research Operations Support

  • Support research sites within the Iterative Health network through data collection, documentation, and operational coordination activities.

  • Assist with scheduling patient visits and coordinating research-related appointments.

  • Perform accurate and timely data entry into clinical research databases and internal systems.

  • Maintain study-related records and tracking tools to support operational efficiency and reporting needs.

  • Participate in project meetings and contribute to ongoing process improvement initiatives. Compliance & Quality

  • Handle protected health information (PHI) and research data in a confidential, compliant, and secure manner.

  • Adhere to company policies, study protocols, Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Ensure accuracy, completeness, and quality of all documentation and data-related activities. What You Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Drive, Gmail), Adobe Acrobat, and web-based applications.

  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new technology platforms, including Electronic Health Records (EHRs), Clinical Trial Management Systems (CTMS), and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools.

  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

  • Strong time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

  • High degree of professionalism, discretion, and integrity when handling sensitive information. Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience in clinical research, healthcare operations, patient recruitment, or data management.

  • Familiarity with clinical research protocols and eligibility criteria.

  • Experience reviewing and interpreting electronic health record data.

  • Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines and clinical research regulations.

  • Experience working within a healthcare technology, biotech, or startup environment.

  • Familiarity with Salesforce, CTMS platforms, or similar research technology systems. How We Work
