Local Pay: $53.00/hour

Shift Details:

Speech Language Pathologist Duties & Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify communication disorders, including speech, language, and social communication difficulties.
-
Develop individualized treatment plans based on assessment results, considering the student’s age, abilities, and educational goals.
-
Provide direct therapy services using evidence-based techniques to improve communication skills.
-
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure coordinated intervention and support.
-
Monitor and document student progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
-
Educate and train teachers and support staff on effective communication strategies.
-
Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and provide recommendations for students with communication disorders.

Stay up to date with research and advancements in speech-language pathology and apply evidence-based practices.

Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, treatment plans, progress reports, and related documentation.

Advocate for students with communication disorders and promote awareness within the school community.

Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain ethical and professional standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
-
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
-
Valid state license or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
-
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred.

Experience working with children and adolescents in a school or pediatric setting.

Strong knowledge of communication disorders, assessment tools, and evidence-based intervention techniques.
-
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with students, parents, teachers, and other professionals.

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
-
Strong organizational and time-management skills to manage multiple caseloads and meet deadlines.

Proficiency in technology and software applications relevant to speech-language pathology.
