Full job description

We are looking for a talented Warehouse Operator to join our team in Scarborough, ME.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Under some supervision, follow established procedures and guidelines to receive, handle, store, perform system transactions and dispatch goods in a factory or warehouse.

  • Check for damage and for discrepancies between goods and invoices.

  • Accurately sort, label, store goods and arrange storage to optimize warehouse space.

  • Pick, pack, and dispatch incoming and outgoing goods according to written or verbal requests orders.

  • Operate forklifts and other warehouse machinery.

  • Maintain clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping tasks and machine cleaning tasks and perform planned operator care and maintenance tasks as needed.

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Requires some work experience or intermediate level knowledge obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

  • Requires certification to operate powered industrial vehicles (reach trucks, order pickers, pallet rider, etc..) and/or other heavy machinery.

  • Previous warehouse experience is required, stock picker experience preferred.

  • Must be able to physically lift 50 pounds occasionally, wear required personal protective equipment

  • Please note, this is a fast-paced warehouse environment, there will be a lot of standing and lifting.

Education, Licenses, Certifications

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • This position does not require any Department of Transportation (DOT) related pre-screenings.

Compensation and Benefits

Base salary rate commensurate with experience. Responsibilities Shipping

  • Prepare and process outbound shipments (LTL, parcel, freight, pickups)

  • Verify orders for accuracy before shipment (part numbers, quantities, documentation)

  • Package items to prevent damage during transit

  • Generate shipping labels, bills of lading (BOL), and required paperwork

  • Coordinate with carriers and schedule pickups

  • Track shipments and resolve delivery issues

Receiving

  • Receive incoming shipments and verify against purchase orders (POs)

  • Inspect deliveries for damage, shortages, or discrepancies

  • Accurately enter received items into inventory systems

  • Tag, label, and stock items in appropriate bin locations

  • Notify appropriate departments of received goods

  • Process returns, cores, and warranty items as needed

Inventory & Warehouse Control

  • Maintain accurate inventory counts and assist with cycle counts

  • Ensure proper organization and cleanliness of warehouse areas

  • Monitor stock levels and report shortages or overstock situations

  • Maintain bin locations and storage accuracy

  • Assist with inventory audits

Documentation & Compliance

  • Maintain accurate shipping and receiving records

  • Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations

  • Properly file and track shipping/receiving documents

  • Follow hazardous materials handling procedures when applicable

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • 1–3 years of shipping, receiving, or warehouse experience (preferred)

  • Basic computer skills (Excel, email, shipping software)

  • Forklift certification (preferred or willing to obtain)
