Shift Details:

Dental Assistant (Oral Surgery) Duties & Responsibilities:
-
Assist oral surgeons with surgical procedures including extractions, dental implants, none grafts, and IV sedation cases.
-
Prepare and maintain surgical instruments, operatory, and sterilization areas in compliance with infection control protocols.
-
Monitor and reassure patients before, during and after procedures, ensuring comfort and safety.
-
Take and process dental radiographs, including panoramic and CBCT imaging (if certified).
-
Provide clear post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers.
-
Manage surgical inventory, prepare surgical trays, and order supplies as needed.

Supports sedation and anesthesia setup (IV or nitrous) and recovery process under supervision.

Collaboration with front desk and clinical staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient experience
**Minimum Qualifications **

Current, valid, and unrestrictedFL license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

High school diploma or equivalent.

Minimum one (1) - two (2) years of dental assisting experience.

Must have Oral Surgery experienceOral surgery experience

Preferred Skills & Experience: -IV sedations & Nitrous Oxide highly recommended

Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
Required Certifications & Licensure: CPR Certification. -Expanded Function Dental Assistant (CODA or FL Board Approved). -X-Ray certification **. **
Preferred Certifications & Licensure: Nitrous Oxide certification.
