Job Description

COMPANY: Gram Equipment of America, Inc.

POSITION: Automation Engineer

LOCATION: 1 South Gold Drive, Hamilton, NJ 08691

JOB DUTIES: Execute automation projects and the commissioning of production lines. Support our customers in keeping their production lines running. Upgrade and implement new functions on existing machinery. As member of Automation team, engage in the 24/7 service setup and prepare software for other projects. Commission complex automation projects, provide onsite support for remote commissioning teams abroad, and prepare automation projects, PLC and HMI software. Provide online support and troubleshooting to customers worldwide. Provide performance testing for equipment, both at workshop in Denmark and Turkey and onsite at global customer sites. Online Support to commissioning teams, and trouble finding both mechanically, electrically and Software. Telecommuting permitted up to 20% of the week. 40% domestic and 10% international travel required.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Engineering, Electrical, Electronic, Systems, or Mechatronic Engineering or a related field and ten (10) years of experience in the job offered or a related field.

Applicant must have five (5) years demonstrated experience in each of the following:

  • Developing advanced PLC programs for highspeed and precision automation systems.

  • Designing and implementing PackML compliant machine control structures.

  • Programming and integrating Robot & Servo / Motion programming systems, Specific Allen Bradley platforms.

  • Engineering and configuring managed industrial Ethernet networks.

  • Performing and supervising FAT and SAT test activities.
