Requirements:
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited RN program
Experience:
-
Minimum 3 years of nursing experience
-
At least 1 year in long-term care or sub-acute care
-
Prior supervisory experience preferred
Licensure & Certification:
-
Active NYS RN License
-
Current CPR Certification
-
Accu-Chek and IV Therapy Certification
-
Annual CEU Compliance
Key Responsibilities:
Administrative:
-
Lead and coordinate clinical operations on assigned unit or shift
-
Support and guide staff with clinical decisions and delegation
-
Ensure thorough assessment and care planning for residents
-
Conduct frequent rounds to ensure care standards and resident needs are met
-
Monitor and follow up on nursing documentation and performance
-
Collaborate with the Director of Nursing on quality and compliance issues
Personnel:
-
Promote interdepartmental cooperation to maintain seamless resident care
-
Conduct regular team meetings to identify and resolve issues
-
Enforce policies fairly and equitably, without bias or discrimination
