Job Title: Maintenance Technician - A Shift Job Description

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing equipment and machinery within a manufacturing environment. Your expertise will ensure the smooth operation of all mechanical and electrical components, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Disassemble and inspect equipment and components to determine and repair the cause of failure. Reassemble equipment after repair or maintenance work is completed.

  • Perform parts, machine, and equipment repair and installation, including bearings, gears, power components, and more. Ensure all work is done according to manufacturers' specifications.

  • Contact equipment manufacturers or vendors for technical support assistance as needed.

  • Record production, repair, and machine maintenance information. Complete work orders, purchase orders, or maintenance daily summary reports.

  • Modify, engineer, or fabricate tools and equipment using soldering, MIG, and stick welding techniques.

  • Collect and discard worn machine parts; maintain machinery and work areas.

  • Maintain parts, hardware, and tool inventory, notifying purchasing when inventory requires replenishment.

  • Calibrate equipment electronically and mechanically.

  • Assist with spill containment and cleanup.

  • Perform required maintenance as per established preventative maintenance program.

  • Back up other maintenance shifts/positions as needed.

  • Oversee and perform daily housekeeping duties in the maintenance shop and maintain and clean up work area after repairs or installations.

  • Follow and comply with all health and safety rules and regulations.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Technical degree or certification in industrial maintenance, electrical, or mechanical systems strongly preferred.

  • 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive supplier experience strongly preferred.

  • 2+ years in a supervisory or lead role with knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems.

  • Experience with robotic cells and automated manufacturing equipment.

  • Familiarity with PLC troubleshooting.

  • Working knowledge of LOTO and industrial safety standards.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including off-shift support as needed.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in production, manufacturing, and assembly.

  • Proficiency in performing parts, machine, and equipment repair and installation.

  • Ability to follow manufacturers' specifications and guidelines.

Work Environment

Work inside a newer automotive manufacturing facility. The position is for the A shift, from 6:30 am to 4:00 pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Permanent position based out of Bloomingdale, GA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $65000.00 - $75000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
