Commercial Leasing Representative

Location: Syracuse, NY + Nationwide Travel

Compensation: $70,000–$125,000 Base Salary + Uncapped Commission

Day-to-day responsibilities as a Commercial Leasing Representative, you'll be responsible for identifying, pursuing, negotiating, and closing lease opportunities that drive occupancy and revenue growth:

  • Prospect and develop relationships with retailers, restaurants, entertainment operators, and experiential brands
  • Identify emerging concepts and new business opportunities nationwide
  • Negotiate lease terms and close deals with both local operators and national tenants
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, developers, retailers, and industry professionals
  • Travel to markets across the country to identify new concepts and evaluate competing properties
  • Conduct site visits, tenant meetings, and property tours
  • Collaborate with marketing, operations, construction, finance, and legal teams throughout the leasing process
  • Manage lease renewals, amendments, and tenant retention initiatives
  • Participate in leasing strategy discussions and help shape portfolio growth initiatives
  • Maintain and manage an active pipeline of prospective tenants

Travel Opportunities: This is a highly visible, relationship-focused role with approximately 50% travel .

  • Typically 2–3 nights per week
  • Travel is planned in advance
  • Nationwide exposure to retail, restaurant, entertainment, and experiential brands
  • Opportunity to visit shopping centers, meet decision-makers, and uncover new leasing opportunities in markets across the country

Required Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience in sales, leasing, business development, or commercial real estate
  • Strong relationship-building and networking skills
  • Proven ability to negotiate and close deals
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong drive to win
  • Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a sales pipeline independently
  • Basic financial analysis skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel

Compensation:

  • Up to $125,000 base salary + Uncapped commission structure
  • Strong earning potential with top performers earning $250K–$300K+
