Salary Range: $29.00 To $33.00 Hourly

HIRING IMMEDIATELY

Parts Counter Advisor

Newington, CT

Pay : $29-$33/hour (dependent on relevant experience)

Bonus : 5% bonus potential

Key Qualifications :

  • Minimum 1 year of parts counter experience OR related mechanical/technical experience

  • Knowledge of heavy-duty truck, diesel, construction, or equipment parts a plus

  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Proficiency with computer applications and software systems

  • Ability to multitask & be highly organized with the ability to be competent in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

Successfully provide solutions to customers’ parts needs.

  • Research and provide customers with correct part information by utilizing all available resources including inspecting worn, damaged, or defective parts to determine customer needs

  • Sell parts to all fax-in, email-in, call-in and walk-in customers

  • Advise customer of additional related parts and services available

  • Maintain communication with customers on open orders

  • Follow all established procedures to ensure accurate payment

  • Participate and complete training as required and/or available

Ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Communicate effectively to build strong, long-term, trusting relationships with customers

  • Discuss features and benefits of alternative solutions and offer those solutions to the customer (i.e., remanufacturing, repair options, etc.)

  • Represent the company in a positive, courteous, and professional manner at all times

Solicit incremental business.

  • Communicate information including leads to Sales Reps and Service Department

  • Promote a one-stop-shop to customers

  • Be aware of and promote all current offerings to customers

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year of parts counter experience OR related mechanical/technical experience

Physical Requirements:

  • Standing and/or sitting for prolonged periods of time

  • Hand coordination (typing and writing)

  • Occasional forward bending and reaching

  • Occasional walking and climbing stairs

  • Carrying (up to 20lbs.)
