Educational Sign Language Interpreter (ASL) - Temecula, CA ??????

We are looking for a compassionate and skilled Educational Sign Language Interpreter to join a school-based team in Temecula, California . This is a fantastic opportunity to support a high school student by facilitating communication and ensuring full access to classroom instruction, activities, and school participation.

Position Details

  • Position: Educational Sign Language Interpreter (ASL)

  • Location: Temecula, CA

  • Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM

  • Hours: 32.5 Hours per Week

  • Contract Length: 6 Months

  • Start Date: August 12, 2026

  • Grade Level: High School

What You'll Do

  • Interpret classroom instruction using American Sign Language (ASL)

  • Facilitate communication between the student, teachers, staff, and peers

  • Support student participation in classroom discussions and activities

  • Promote an inclusive and accessible learning environment

  • Collaborate with educational staff to support student success

Compensation

  • Pay Rate: $40/hour

  • Estimated Weekly Gross: $1,300/week

Minimum requirements:

  • Proficiency in American Sign Language

  • Associates degree or Bachelors degree in interpreting, deaf studies or related field, preferred

  • State Board of Education Initial Sign Language Interpreter Certificate (as applicable)

  • Educational Interpreter Performance Assessment (EIPA) certificate (as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)

  • Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) certification ( as applicable per state regulation or client requirement)

  • Complies with all relevant professional standards of practice

  • Current CPR if applicable

  • TB questionnaire, PPD or chest x-ray if applicable

  • Current Health certificate (per contract or state regulation)

  • Must meet all federal, state and local requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age
