Full job description

ABOUT US

Our mission at Avelios is to unlock clinical data to power seamless healthcare operations for better patient care. To do so, we have built a modular software platform that digitizes and optimizes workflows in hospitals with cutting-edge technology in a user-friendly way. With our software, we enable hospitals, doctors & nurses to provide their patients with the best possible care. We are growing fast and want to keep expanding our team and business to fundamentally digitize healthcare for the better. We appreciate different backgrounds and see diversity as one of our strengths.

THE TEAM AND ROLE

Avelios is scaling in a fast-moving health-tech market, and our brand needs to stay recognizable, coherent, and high-quality across every touchpoint.

As our Brand Designer (all genders) you take end-to-end ownership of the visual and messaging side of the Avelios brand. You design our materials to a high craft bar across print, physical, and digital, from expo booths and event collateral to social, web, and employer-brand assets, and you deliver production-ready files. Equally, you maintain and evolve the brand itself: turning our current guidelines into a scalable system, keeping everything consistent as we grow, shaping on-brand copy and messaging, and sourcing and aligning design vendors. As our first dedicated brand hire, you build this foundation from the ground up, with room to shape the evolution of the Avelios brand.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design high-quality assets across print, physical, and digital touchpoints, including event materials, print collateral, merchandise, social media, web, and employer branding

  • Prepare production-ready files for print and large-format applications, ensuring correct dimensions, bleed, color modes, resolution, fonts, export formats, and proof coordination

  • Maintain and evolve Avelios’ brand system, including guidelines, templates, visual language, components, and reusable design assets

  • Shape on-brand messaging and copy within designs, proposing creative directions and research-backed brand ideas

  • Align with internal stakeholders and external vendors on briefs, concepts, feedback, specifications, proofs, and final handoffs

  • Research design, marketing, brand, and competitor trends, translating relevant insights into the continuous development of the Avelios brand

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree or training in Graphic/Media/Communication or equivalent expertise demonstrated through a strong print and digital portfolio

  • 4+ years of experience designing across print and digital collateral, ideally including ownership or evolution of a brand or visual system

  • Proven production experience with large-format graphics, merchandise, event materials, print collateral, and vendor coordination

  • Strong skills in Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Figma, with knowledge of typography, layout, color, and print production

  • Experience with print-file preparation, including CMYK, Pantone or spot colors, PDF/X, bleed, and preflight checks

  • Fluency in both German and English (C1 level or higher)

YOUR BENEFITS

  • Variety in your tasks and the opportunity to take ownership

  • An international, informal team structure in a motivating start-up atmosphere, allowing you to participate directly in our customer growth story and the overall success of Avelios

  • Ability to gain valuable hands-on experience in a startup backed by leading international VCs

  • Support for your personal development through continuous learning and feedback

  • Set your own rhythm with flexible working hours and trust-based time tracking

  • A virtual stock option package (VSOP) that lets you participate in Avelios’ long-term value creation

  • A monthly meal allowance up to 75 euros, full coverage of the Deutschlandticket, Urban Sports Club or a subsidized Wellpass membership, a bike leasing program and Corporate Benefits that give you access to discounts from a wide range of providers in various areas
