Job Title: Coating Technician
Job Description
Manufacturing Technicians, also known as Machine Operators, are responsible for operating various shaping equipment such as polishing, automatic and manual indexing head coring, scribing, dicing, sawing, grinding, and chamfering machines. Technicians manage setups and operations for up to three machines simultaneously while working with optical filter plates of various sizes and thicknesses.
Responsibilities

Determine the operation sequence of up to three machines, selecting programs and adjusting speeds, feeds, and depths as needed.

Perform machine adjustments as specified in production orders and replace dull or damaged tooling as required.

Provide shaped substrates within process capabilities and inspect and document when process yields fall outside of process capabilities.

Make standard configuration changes.

Deliver completed work to the next operational station.

Maintain work areas and equipment to ensure they are clean, stocked, operational, and safe.

Adhere to efficient production cycle times.
Essential Skills
-
1+ years of experience in a manufacturing-related field.

US Citizenship.

Experience in machine operation or mechanical assembly.

High School Diploma.

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Westford, MA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
