Job Description:

We are now gathering applications for all Secondary Teachers that are interested in applying for openings for the 2025-26 & 2026-27 school years!

Applications and screening interviews must be completed after November 3, 2025 in order to be considered when schools begin interviewing in March 2026.

Preferred Skills:

Candidates must have a Secondary teaching license with an endorsement for the subject qualified to teach (ex: English, Math, Biology, Physical Education, Dance, etc.).

  • Expired licenses, out of state licenses, or University students that will graduate in May or August 2026 are also eligible to apply for 2026-27 positions.

  • Candidates interested in an internship should email [email protected] before applying.

  • Interns are candidates that are earning a bachelor's degree in Secondary Ed, have not earned a degree previously in another subject, and are wanting to have a paid teaching position in lieu of completing student teaching.

Don't have a professional educator's license?

  • Option 1: CSD APPEL Program

  • Follow this link (https://schools.utah.gov/licensing/apply) for information on how to apply for an AEL through the Utah State Board of Education (USBE).

  • You must provide proof of your AEL—or proof that you submitted all required documentation to USBE—before being added to the candidate pool.

  • Option 2: University Teacher Preparation Program

  • Enroll in a secondary education teacher certification program at a local university.

  • Once accepted, apply for your AEL and complete the required Praxis content test (if your degree is not in the subject you plan to teach).

  • You must provide your AEL and your program Enrollment Letter when applying to the candidate pool.
