What You'll Be Doing

  • Lead heavy/highway construction projects from planning through closeout, driving safety, schedule adherence, quality, and profitability.

  • Manage project documentation, change orders, and job cost impacts, ensuring timely approvals and clear communication of scope changes.

  • Oversee subcontractors and field operations to ensure compliance with contract documents and resolve issues that affect execution or cost.

  • Coordinate and lead project meetings with estimators, subcontractors, municipalities, and internal teams to maintain alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, municipalities, and governmental agencies while delivering a high level of customer service.

  • Manage labor resources, including union coordination, staffing levels, and direction of field personnel, while supporting the Construction Manager with reporting and updates.

What Are We Looking For

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management or a related field, or equivalent experience, with 5+ years of project management experience.

  • Proven background in heavy/highway construction with strong knowledge of civil construction practices.

  • Experience working with municipalities and navigating agency processes, permits, and coordination requirements.

  • Demonstrated leadership, decision-making, and customer service skills in fast-paced, field-driven environments.

  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with word processing and spreadsheet software.

  • Valid driver’s license and flexibility to work extended hours, including nights and weekends, based on project needs.
