Business Development Manager Who We Are

What You Will Do

As the Business Development Manager for Japan, you will be responsible for driving the company’s growth in the region. This involves working directly with our key accounts as well as through our resellers to create and execute strategies together. Japan is a high-growth region for GT, and in this role, you will be tasked with understanding customers’ business priorities to develop and execute multi-year strategic growth plans tailored to this market.

  • Drive Japan market growth through strategic planning and GTM execution

  • Partner with resellers to strengthen market presence and alignment

  • Lead customer-centric account management and executive relationships

  • Evaluate and support expansion into new markets and industries

  • Own sales planning, forecasting, and commercial operations

  • Travel 2-3 days per week, including domestic and occasional international travel What You Will Bring

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in technical, engineering or business field

  • 7-10+ years of experience in technical solutions sales for engineering or simulation platforms

  • 3+ years of experience as a senior/key account manager

  • Experience in leading sales efforts via direct or indirect channels

  • Demonstrated understanding of product development processes in the manufacturing sectors, CAD/CAM/CAE/PLM or another engineering simulation areas

  • Business-level proficiency in Japanese and English (written and verbal) required for client communication and coordination with international headquarters Preferred Qualifications

Employment Type

  • Employment Type: Full-time employee
  • Employment Term: Indefinite (no fixed term)
  • Probation Period: 6 months Work Arrangement

Remote and hybrid work options available. The employee will initially work primarily from home in the Tokyo or Yokohama area. Once a local office is established, the role is expected to transition to an office-based or hybrid work arrangement. Given the flexible work location, employees are responsible for their own commuting arrangements.
