As a Food Service Supervisor at MercyOne, you will be responsible for successfully leading and monitoring all work assigned to food operations including any or all of the following: production, purchasing, sanitation, patient food services, retail, procurement, food distribution and catering. Adheres to MercyOne's performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the Mission, Vision and Values of MercyOne.

  • Supervises work assigned within the food operation.

  • Orders food and supplies.

  • Coordinates daily food production and delivery.

  • Monitors processes that assure a safe. sanitary environment.

  • Maintains software applications and supports system users.

  • Adheres to all safety, infection control and colleague health policies and procedures.

Schedule:

  • Full-time, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week)

  • Varied shifts based on department needs

General Requirements:

  • 3 - 4 years' experience in Food and Nutrition

  • Intermediate language, intermediate math, highreasoning ability.

  • Ability to lead others and communicate clearly and to work with people of diverse backgrounds.

  • Ability tomonitor,analyzeand make quick decisions.

  • Effective organization skills, including delegating, and time management skills.

  • Personal and professional integrity.

  • Excellent interpersonalskillsincludingbeing a positive motivator and role model for others.

  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet/exceed established goals andobjectives.

  • Ability toanticipate, solve and follow-up withissues/problems.

  • Ability toidentifydetailed Food Service performance problems and findappropriate solutions.

  • Ability to train staff in allfacetsof Food Service operations

Education:

  • Associate's degree preferred.

  • Food Safety Certification preferred.
