Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - School-Based

Multiple Openings Available

37.5 Hours per Week | 9-Month Contract

Position Summary

The School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, communication, and related disorders. The SLP will collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support student success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct speech and language evaluations and assessments.

  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results.

  • Provide direct and indirect speech-language therapy services.

  • Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).

  • Monitor student progress and modify treatment strategies as needed.

  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student outcomes.

  • Attend IEP meetings, parent conferences, and multidisciplinary team meetings.

  • Maintain accurate documentation, progress notes, and compliance records.

  • Ensure services are delivered in accordance with district, state, and federal guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

Required

  • Active Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license in the state of assignment.

  • Master's Degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders.

  • Compliance with all applicable professional standards of practice.

  • Current CPR certification, if applicable.

  • Current TB screening and health documentation as required.

  • Must meet all federal, state, and local requirements.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Preferred

  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP).

  • School-based experience.

  • Experience collaborating with special education and multidisciplinary teams.

  • Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
