Job Summary

The Vice President, Global Logistics & Trade is a transformational executive leader responsible for building and driving a world-class, digitally enabled logistics organization across all global markets. This role is the enterprise authority for end-to-end logistics operations — spanning transportation, warehousing, trade operations, and fulfillment — and is accountable for aligning logistics capability directly with the company's commercial growth agenda.

Reporting to the SVP of Global Operations, the VP will lead a distributed team of logistics directors and regional leaders, set the multi-year vision for the function, and serve as a senior partner to Sales, Commercial, Finance, and Operations leadership worldwide. This is a role for a bold, commercially minded executive who thrives in complexity, accelerates growth through logistics excellence, and knows how to harness technology to reshape how a global logistics organization performs.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)

Leadership & Strategy

  • Define and execute the global logistics vision, strategy, and roadmap.

  • Build, develop, and retain a high-performing global logistics organization.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.

  • Serve as the senior logistics advisor to executive leadership.

Global Growth & Market Expansion

  • Design logistics capabilities that support growth across international markets.

  • Develop scalable transportation, fulfillment, and compliance solutions to support regional expansion.

  • Lead logistics due diligence and integration efforts for acquisitions and strategic partnerships.

  • Establish deployment frameworks and operating models for new market entry.

Commercial Partnership

  • Partner with Sales and business leaders to align logistics capabilities with customer and growth requirements.

  • Support customer proposals, contract negotiations, and service-level commitments.

  • Develop logistics solutions that strengthen customer satisfaction and competitive advantage.

Digital Transformation

  • Lead the global logistics technology strategy, including transportation, warehouse, visibility, and analytics platforms.

  • Establish performance metrics and reporting that enable data-driven decision making.

  • Partner with IT and Digital teams to drive technology adoption and process automation.

Trade Compliance & Risk Management

  • Provide executive sponsorship and oversight of the global trade operations function — ensuring full adherence to import/export regulations, sanctions, and customs requirements across all operating markets

  • Partner with the Acuity Global Trade Compliance team to establish a risk-based trade compliance governance model that balances speed-to-market with regulatory integrity and reputational protection

  • Ensure that operational processes are aligned with regulatory requirements, company policies, audit expectations, and business needs

  • Embed trade operations considerations into new market entry, product launches, and supplier qualification processes to prevent downstream risk

  • Ensure the organization maintains audit-ready documentation, controls, and training programs for all trade operations activities globally

Warehousing & Network Optimization

  • Lead global warehousing and fulfillment operations across internal and third-party networks.

  • Optimize distribution footprint, service levels, capacity utilization, and inventory flow.

  • Establish performance standards and governance for logistics providers and 3PL partners.

Financial & Operational Excellence

  • Own logistics budgets, performance goals, and productivity initiatives.

  • Drive cost transparency, strategic sourcing, and operational efficiency.

  • Lead carrier and logistics partner negotiations to improve cost, service, and scalability.

  • Implement continuous improvement programs that enhance financial and operational performance.

Skills and Minimum Experience Required

  • 15+ years of progressive experience in global logistics, supply chain, or operations, with a clear track record of executive leadership

  • 7+ years leading large, complex, multi-disciplinary logistics organizations across multiple geographies and functions

  • Demonstrated success driving international growth — including new market entry, cross-border logistics infrastructure, and regional network build-out

  • Deep functional expertise across transportation, warehousing, trade compliance, and 3PL management at a global scale

  • Proven ability to digitally transform a logistics function — including TMS/WMS implementation, visibility platforms, and data analytics capability

  • Strong commercial instincts with experience partnering directly with Sales, Commercial, and Customer leadership to align logistics with revenue growth

  • Track record of building high-performing, diverse teams and developing strong director- and senior manager-level talent pipelines

  • Demonstrated experience managing significant logistics budgets and delivering year-over-year cost efficiencies without compromising service

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Engineering, or a related field

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain, Operations, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Experience in a high-growth, publicly traded, or private equity-backed global company

  • Exposure to managing logistics in highly regulated industries or complex international trade environments (e.g., aerospace, industrial, life sciences, consumer goods)

  • Experience leading logistics M&A integration or standing up greenfield logistics operations in new markets
