STA - Site Logistics Operations Coordinator – Indianola, PA
Purpose:
Focuses on the day-to-day activities within the warehouse, including receiving, storing, and shipping products. This position involves ensuring that all operations are conducted efficiently and safely, managing inventory levels, and maintaining accurate records. Works closely with the Warehouse Manager to support overall operational goals.
This one year – Short-Term Assignment (STA) is responsible for the leadership of work related activities to Site Logistics areas distribution, including in-bound receiving, returns receiving, outbound shipments and material handling. This position assists with decision making ability to accurately set daily priorities within the warehouse and the ability to work collaborative across multiple functions.
Your Tasks and Responsibilities

Ensure smooth daily operations while maintaining flexibility to adapt to changing demands;

Create and update Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) and Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) instructions; conduct safety briefings and training sessions;

Coordinate and implement the onboarding process for new employees, ensuring they are adequately trained for their roles;

Leads the warehouse team including all HR processes, PMP, Time & Attendance, disciplinary action and escalates any supply issues which may result in delays to customer or service personnel shipments;

Monitor operational conditions through regular inspections to ensure compliance with GMP, HSE regulations, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs);

Document GMP deviations and ensure effective implementation of corrective actions (CAPA);

Communicate operational data to support transparency and informed decision-making within the logistics area;

Drive continuous improvement initiatives and manage projects to optimize logistics operations and enhance productivity.
WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
-
Associate’s degree or a High School diploma with at least 5 years of experience in supply chain or Logistics in lieu of the associate's degree;

Experience Requirement: 3+ years of relevant work experience in materials, manufacturing, logistics, or supply chain, including up to 1 year of academic understanding of supply chain principles;

Leadership Experience: Minimum 2 years of demonstrated leadership experience, particularly with direct labor personnel;

Problem-Solving Ability: Strong analytical and strategic thinking with a focus on quality and cost awareness;
-
Stakeholder Management: Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on customer service and continuous improvement;

Conflict Resolution: Proven ability to resolve conflicts and maintain a positive working environment;
-
Self-Responsibility and Initiative: Goal-oriented working style with commitment and readiness to perform.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s Degree;

Well-developed communicative and collaborative skills, Communication & Presentation skills.

IT Skills: Proficient in Office applications and SAP; minimum 1+ years of SAP P2R experience.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $86,320.00 to $129,480.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or incentive compensation (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
This salary range is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
