The Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in ensuring accurate, reliable inventory across warehouses and production operations. This role supports daily inventory management through cycle counting, reconciliation, and system transactions while maintaining strong data integrity. Working closely with warehouse, production, quality, and supply chain teammates, this position helps ensure materials are available to meet customer and operational needs. The Inventory Control Specialist investigates discrepancies, identifies root causes, and drives continuous improvement in inventory processes. Success in this role requires strong attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a commitment to doing what's right. Key Responsibilities Include:

Perform daily cycle counts and inventory audits to maintain high levels of inventory accuracy

Investigate inventory discrepancies and determine root causes to resolve issues in a timely manner

Complete system transactions including transfers, adjustments, and reconciliations across locations

Maintain accurate inventory records within ERP or warehouse management systems

Support physical inventory processes including planning, execution, and reconciliation

Review production schedules and shipping activity to ensure material availability

Coordinate rework, reclaim, and slow-moving inventory processes to optimize inventory health

Analyze transaction errors and partner with cross-functional teams to resolve discrepancies

Maintain and update inventory control procedures and work instructions

Communicate inventory issues and recommend process improvements to leadership

Apply Lean, 5S, and continuous improvement principles to enhance accuracy and efficiency

Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards

Maintain a clean, organized, and audit-ready work environment

Support additional operational tasks as needed

Education:

High school diploma or equivalent

Experience and/or Training:

Experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or manufacturing environment

License/Certification:

Forklift certification or ability to obtain within 30 days

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Understanding of inventory management principles and material flow

Experience using ERP systems, WMS platforms, or inventory tracking tools

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and reconciliation

Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and as part of a team

Experience in a manufacturing or distribution environment

Familiarity with Lean, 5S, or continuous improvement methodologies

Experience supporting multi-site or third-party inventory operations

HAZMAT or regulatory shipping experience

Physical, Mental, Environmental Demands:

Frequent standing, walking, bending, and reaching

Ability to lift and move materials up to 60 pounds and occasionally push or pull heavier loads

Operation of forklifts and warehouse equipment as needed

Work performed in warehouse and production environments with temperature variation

Exposure to dust, fumes, and moving equipment

Ability to remain focused, accurate, and responsive in a fast-paced environment

The anticipated hiring range for the role you are applying for is between $22 and $26 hourly. This anticipated hiring range is based on several factors, and subject to increase based on the below:

Education and certifications: Any additional qualifications that enhance your ability to succeed in the role.
