Employment Type: Full time Shift: Day Shift

Description: GENERAL SUMMARY: The purpose of this position is to manage and facilitate the coordination and securing of clinical learning sites and instructors for student clinical rotations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Manages and coordinates the staffing of adjunct clinical instructors, based on student enrollment, each semester. Ensures instructors have the appropriate credentials and experience needed for optimal student learning.

  • Hires, develops, trains and motivates adjunct instructors to ensure optimal performance. Provides regular feedback, including the annual performance evaluation.

  • Establishes and maintains positive relationships with clinical sites and preceptors.

  • Participates in and seeks out quality improvement opportunities.

  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing.

  • Two years experience working in a clinical environment.

  • Current and valid Iowa RN licensure.

  • Demonstrated ability in managing, leading or training others.

  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal and relationship building skills.

  • Strong time management and attention to detail skills.

  • Master’s degree in nursing preferred.

  • Previous experience in higher education preferred.
