Job Title: Security Installation Technician Job Description

The Security Installation Technician plays a critical role in the installation, setup, and maintenance of access control systems. This position is designed for individuals looking to develop technical skills and gain hands-on experience in field installations.

Responsibilities

  • Install and wire access control components such as card readers, maglocks, strikes, and controllers.

  • Pull and terminate cables, label devices, and mount hardware neatly and correctly.

  • Support system testing and verification under supervision.

  • Document daily work, materials used, and job site conditions.

  • Follow company safety standards and maintain clean work environments.

  • Communicate progress and challenges to the lead or supervisor clearly.

Essential Skills

  • 0–2 years of experience in low-voltage, electrical, or access control work.

  • Basic understanding of wiring, power supplies, and low-voltage systems.

  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and follow instructions.

  • Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

  • OSHA 10 certification required to start.

  • OSHA 30 certification required within 90 days of hire.

  • Must pass a background check and drug test.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience in electrical, blueprint reading, installation, low voltage installation, conduit, and construction.

  • Level 1 Technician experience.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $25.00/hr.
