Full job description
POSITION SUMMARY
Responsible for Yreka Veneer mill administrative and support tasks, inclusive of accounts receivable posting, invoicing, shipping, log accounting, closing and inventory functions, and safety program support tasks. Also will be cross trained in other administrative areas to cover vacations/absences.
Must be able to work Monday - Friday, generally 7:00am-4:00pm. This is not a remote position.
MAJOR TASKS

Manage incoming log deliveries with duties as weigh master, ticket sorting and log accounting.

Organize and direct veneer shipping, closely monitoring and balancing trucking requirements with production schedules while accurately matching shipments with customer orders.

Generate daily shipping orders, ensuring proper volumes, pricing and freight charges, responding to all discrepancies, and posting reconciliations.

Post daily by-product shipments with mid-month and month end reconciliations.

Scan records to and maintain Safety Administration to CMMS data base, Basic Safe, assisting production supervisors with administrative needs directed by Safety Management Plan. Monitor training compliance/completeness with regular CMMS Program audits.

Monitor and order office/administrative supplies as needed.

Proof payroll entry: verify time entered by supervisors is correct before final submission to payroll administrator.Assist management staff with administrative support as assigned.
SKILL REQUIREMENTS

An Associates Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or related field preferred, but not required.

Minimum of two years of administrative support experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Must have strong computer skills in Excel and MS Word; strong data entry skills.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Strong organizational skills and the ability to work independently and maintain strict confidentiality are essential.
