Amentum is seeking a Psychology Subject Matter Expert to support our U.S. Department of Energy and Counterintelligence (DOE-IN) contract. Positions will be based in the Washington, D.C area.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Provide psychological and insider threat consultation regarding potential insider threat detection, deterrence, mitigation and response.

  • Provide consultation of polygraph issues from a medical or psychological perspective.

  • With Government oversight, provide support for the development, delivery, and updating of insider threat awareness education content to support the insider threat training mission. This includes awareness of behavioral indicators and overall methods to assist in detecting, deterring, preventing, and responding to insider acts; and identifying psychological behavioral issues that could impact access determinations and that may have implications for national and/or nuclear security.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Active Top Secret Clearance

  • Master’s Degree, PhD, or PsyD, focused on clinical psychology or M.D.

  • Must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in the application of psychological and/or medical concerns applied to national security.

  • Special expertise focused on how to identify and interpret behaviors associated with national security concerns.

  • Must have training and experience in knowing how to use an understanding of an individual’s personal predispositions, mental health issues, and concerning behaviors to conduct a threat assessment and to formulate an appropriate risk reduction strategy.

Compensation Details:

$255,000-$285,000

The compensation range or hourly rate listed for this position is provided as a good-faith estimate of what the company intends to offer for this role at the time this posting was issued. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
