Job Duties

Genuine Builders Inc. located at 301 South Highway 81, Arlington, SD 57212 (605) 203-1362 is seeking 13 temporary full-time Concrete Finishers to work at 45024 MN-43, Rushford, MN 55971, and Multiple Cities and Towns in Fillmore County from 09/05/2026 to 12/15/2026 to prepare construction site where concrete will be poured by directing concrete laborers to place materials on job site, measure forms, examine the grade and confirm proper form layout. Safely set and align wooden and metal forms that hold concrete. Spread, level and smooth concrete using rakes, walk-behind or riding screeds, power trowels, shovel or hand tools. Tear down concrete forms and cut concrete with concrete saws. Clean up construction site. 36 months of concrete finishing experience required. Some weekend work. Must be able to handle temperature extremes. Must be able to lift and carry 75 lbs 50 yds. Will travel to worksites within the area of intended employment. Will travel to worksites within area of intended employment. No prior education or experience is required. On the job, training will be provided.

$31.90/hr. Approx. 40 hours/week, from Monday - Friday, 7 AM to 5 PM. Applicants may be offered a higher wage than the advertised wage based on experience and/or merit. $47.85/hr for overtime. Up to 10 hours of overtime may be available but not guaranteed.

All deductions from the worker’s paycheck will be made as required by law. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages and pay biweekly by check. Any advances will be deducted with the consent of the employee. The employer will provide housing as an option to employees living outside the regular commuting distance. Employees who elect to live in the housing will have an additional $250.00 deducted per biweekly paycheck for rent and utilities. Optional daily transportation will be provided to and from the worksite.

In the first workweek, the cost of transportation (including meals and to the extent necessary, lodging) to the place of employment will be directly reimbursed to every worker. If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will reimburse the worker for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. In the first workweek, daily subsistence for travel to the place of employment will be reimbursed at a rate of at least $16.78/day to a maximum of $68.00/day with receipts. Also, workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees). The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
