Job Summary
Responsible for the development and implementation of supplier cost improvement ideals and initiatives for components including wire harnesses, fasteners, and heat sinks.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Evaluates wire harness design prints, BOMs, and engineering specifications for accuracyand cost reduction options.

Leads commodity design review meetings with suppliers to incorporate supplierdesign feedback into final designs.

Supports Purchasing Buyers with evaluation of quote accuracy to designdocuments.

Conducts audits to outline opportunities for suppliers in areas of improvements.

Lead supply chain cost projects with the coordination of suppliers, manufacturing plants and engineering.

Supports suppliers in the development of quality systems and NAL supplier expectations.
-
Educates suppliers in NAL processes to achieve optimal relationships with manufacturing and engineering.

Supports cross-functional teams in development of supplier quality related policies per ISO/TS 16949

Monitor and communicate supplier cost performance to NAL suppliers.

Maintains relationships to resolve supplier data integrity issues.
The salary range for this position is $76,500 - $100,700 per year. Final compensation will be determined by location, skills, experience, qualifications, and the career level at which the position is filled.

Supports the publishing and communication progress with purchasing cost goals to facilitate improvement.

Works as a liaison between suppliers and NAL to streamline relationships.

Performs other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Meets one of the following Education and Experience requirements:
a. Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline and 3+ years’ experience in Engineering, Quality, Supplier Quality or related field
- Strong knowledge, skills, and abilities in the following areas:
a. Computer skills – proficiency using standard business software with an emphasis on Excel,
PowerPoint, and Access
b. Critical Thinking and Problem Solving skills
c. Mathematical and analytical skills with attention to detail
d. Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
e. Organizational, planning,multi-tasking, and follow-up
f. Written and verbal communications skills
g. Interpersonal skills —ability to confidently interact with individuals at all levels of authority
