As a Group Fitness Coach you can expect to perform the following duties:

  • Deliver scientifically pre-designed workouts to diverse groups of up to 30 members

  • Demonstrate all exercise movements, monitor the exercise form of our members and offer corrections if an individual is not using proper form

  • Inspire, energize, and motivate members throughout their workouts and help members set and achieve their fitness goals

  • Ensure member safety regarding heart rate and proper exercise technique

  • Provide exercise options to accommodate various skill levels and needs

  • Communicate the science behind the workouts by focusing on a well-rounded theory of fitness that includes endurance, strength, and power

  • Attend regular staff meetings, template meetings, and studio deep cleans

  • Arrive 30 minutes prior to the start of each coaching block

  • Follow studio cleaning guidelines at the end of each coaching block

  • Participate in Orangetheory Fitness workouts and community events

  • Collaborate with the sales team to provide studio tours and sell memberships

  • Contact all first time guests via email within 24 hours of first workout

  • Help build class attendance and retaining current members

If you meet these Group Fitness Coach qualifications, we would like to hear from YOU:

  • Experience as a Personal Trainer or teaching group fitness classes

  • Ability to coach multiple members and manage time in a group setting

  • Positive and effective interpersonal communication skills with desire to motivate members

  • Knowledge of physiology, exercise technique and body mechanics

  • Having a willingness to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends

  • Must be able to safely lift and move up to 40 pounds

  • Current Fitness Certification from an Orangetheory-approved organization and current AED/CPR certification is required
