Your role and responsibilities

The IBM Finance & Operations organization is a values-driven team responsible for driving enterprise performance and transformation. We are the financial stewards of the enterprise, delivering IBM’s financial strategy, developing new business models, and helping IBMers work smarter.

Throughout your career in IBM Finance & Operations, you could potentially perform assignments in a range of functions including accounting, financial planning, pricing, audit, business controls, tax, treasury, business development (acquisitions & divestitures), and global financing.

We are currently seeking candidates for summer internships in one of our operating units or in a specialized corporate function. Specific roles and responsibilities will vary with the individual position; however, in each of these roles, candidates are assigned to complex, highly visible projects and will have the opportunity to interact with and learn from senior management.

As a trusted advisor, you will have the opportunity to demonstrate business judgment, leadership, creativity, decision making skills, and integrity. Interns who achieve outstanding performance during their summer assignment may be considered for full time positions in our Finance Leadership Development Program. We are looking for candidates who are ready to be leaders and determined to achieve long-term success at IBM.

Required technical and professional expertise

  • Currently enrolled in an MBA degree program at an Accredited College

  • Strong background in Microsoft Excel

  • Adept in technology and use of AI

  • Experience in statistical and quantitative analysis and predictive models

  • Proven Leadership

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

Preferred technical and professional experience

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting or related field / Enrolled in MBA Program
