Full job description
In-Home Companion and Aide:
You must meet the following requirements:
-
Have a passion for providing exceptional care to your clients
-
Have the ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect
-
Have the ability to communicate with clients in a friendly manner and build relationships
-
Pass criminal background and DMV checks
-
Have a valid driver's license, auto insurance, and current vehicle registration (if providing client transportation)
-
Have access to reliable transportation in the Crystal Coast area (New Bern, Jacksonville, Swansboro, Morehead City, Bogue Banks areas)
-
Be physically able to safely transfer client for activities described above (as per your certification level)

Achieve competency in required knowledge, skills, and abilities
What you’ll have to do:

Provide ADL & IADL services
-
Provide companionship and make conversation with clients
-
Perform light housekeeping tasks
-
Prepare meals and monitor overall nutrition
-
Provide respite care for relief of family/primary caregivers
-
Assist with client participation in recreational and leisure activities of their
-
Complete documentation of activities and significant events
-
Provide transportation for grocery shopping and other errands
