Work hours: Full-time, 40 hours weekly, Monday thru Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm

Travel: 25% to surrounding clinics as needed ( mileage reimbursement provided )

Here's What You Need
-
Associates Degree Related field (preferred)
-
Graduate of Accredited Ultrasound Technology Program (preferred)
-
1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) and
-
RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or
-
RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required) and
-
BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support Exception Quarterly 90 Days Upon Hire (required)
-
Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases
-
Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature
-
Have excellent communication skills

Have good computer skills
-
Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism
What You Will Do
-
Delivers care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process
-
Will perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.

Prepares and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment, and order supplies when necessary.

Explains procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient's clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure.

Performs other duties as assigned.

Conducts vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols.

Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation.

Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.

Reviews test results with interpreting physician.
