Job Duties
Vaxxinova US is seeking an individual to join our finance team as a Senior Accountant. This role is an onsite, office-based position located in Willmar, MN.

About the role: The Senior Accountant is responsible for supporting the company’s accounting and financial operations by performing advanced accounting functions, overseeing key financial processes, and ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting. This position works collaboratively across departments to ensure timely and reliable financial information while supporting operational and business objectives.
Main Responsibilities:
Prepare, review, and maintain financial records and accounting transactions.
Lead month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes.
Perform account reconciliations and investigate variances or discrepancies.
Support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis activities.
Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and applicable accounting standards and regulations.
Process and review accounting entries and supporting documentation.
Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, fixed assets, inventory, payroll, tax, or other accounting functions as assigned.
Maintain organized and accurate financial records and documentation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting-related matters.
Assist with internal and external audit requests and financial reviews.
Identify and implement process improvement initiatives
Prepare ad hoc financial analyses, reports, and schedules as requested by management.
Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and audit readiness of financial data.
Performs other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Capabilities:
Extensive knowledge, understanding, and ability to adhere to generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and IFRS
Highly proficient with accounting software
Advanced Excel and ERP system experience
Active listening and customer service orientation
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
Deadline-orientated
Strong organizational and time management skills
Good verbal and written skills
Communications skills to effectively work with teams, across departments, and outside vendors
Problem solving skills and decision-making capabilities
Strong analytical skills

Minimum Education Required
Associate degree in Accounting required; Bachelor degree in Accounting preferred
Minimum Experience Required
Three (3) to Seven (7) years of progressive accounting experience.
