Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our Director Nursing ICU at Mercy San Juan Medical Center, you will direct the operations of our Critical Care Units, which are comprised of an 11 bed MICU, an 11 bed SICU, an 8 bed Trauma ICU, a 20 bed Neuro ICU, and a 6 bed Cardiac ICU. In this role you will also oversee the Nursing Supervisors Office. To help support you as the Director, we have two Nurse Managers ICU, two Critical Care Educators, and a team of Nurse Shift Managers.
Every day, you will work with Sr. Leadership on strategy and key initiatives, and work with your front-line leaders to ensure we maintain high standards of patient care. You will advise medical staff, other department heads, and administrators in matters related to patient care, clinical best practices, and strategies. You will communicate the organization’s goals to the staff as we constantly seek to better serve our community by improving patient experience and delivering exceptional quality care.
To be successful in this role, you will need to be an experienced leader, with a track record of success in mid to large sized hospitals overseeing ICU / Critical Care services. You must be competent and confident, with excellent communication skills one-on-one and in front of groups. Job Requirements
Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (e.g. BSN) or equivalent education and experience and Master's degree in nursing or other-related field (e.g., MSN/MBA/MHA) required.

Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience required.

Minimum two (2) years of leadership experience required.
Required Licensure:
-
Registered Nursing License (RN) in CA required.

Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Pay Range
$80.17 - $119.26 /hour
